Although a Contact App is available on the Kindle Fire, I simply cannot sync Contacts

I definitely have to agree with other people who said they wanted to like the Kindle. What amazes me the most is Amazon’s decision not to include Gmail integration and various basic functionality, despite of the Google Android Operating System on the device. It is impossible for me to sync Gmail Calendars or Contact.

Although a Contact App is available on the Kindle Fire, I simply cannot sync Contacts. The Calendar App is also missing. Using the web browser you can view calendars and contact anytime, but their integration is totally missing from the device.

Apparently, Exchange Active Sync has no support at all. Your Exchange Account should work without any problems with POP or IMAP access, in the lack of conventional Exchange connectivity. I already have a Droid telephone with the Kindle app on it, but this device is a merely just a larger screen with fewer functions.

I really miss the calendar function, as I would really like for the Kindle Fire to remind me of a due appointment, like my phone does. Still, it is an excellent device if you want to watch movies or read books on it.

However, I don’t like where Amazon located the power button, as I accidentally turned off the device several times while reading a book on it.
